About Smallfry
Smallfry was established in 1982 by Naomi and Peter Derrick, who had been involved as parents since 1989, and took over management in 2003.

Smallfry is one of Victoria’s leading drama and talent agencies. We are selective in recruiting our talent and pride ourselves in our honest and genuine selection criterion. Smallfry is highly regarded within the industry by all peers.

We pride ourselves on the reputation we have worked hard at establishing over the years of; great talent, great service and fair and honest management.

Apply/Audition For Us
Naomi loves finding little pocket rockets! Is your child the next Smallfry pocket rocket? For all child applicants, please upload your audition video (information below) via the Dropbox link https://www.dropbox.com/request/PXFIMLrD5gfRw2rPtTnS  and then send an email confirmation to: nici@smallfry.com.au

Please include some information about your child’s interests, or any training or experience they may have had, please attach a couple of photos no bigger than 1 megabyte.
Please include a brief resume including (drama and or musical theatre experience) any relevant training and current headshot and showreel.
Or a chat to camera (landscape) including your name; age; things you love to do at home or with family; holidays; favourite tv show; or something funny about one of your pets. And don’t forget to finish off with a quirky goodbye and we hope to see you soon!

Please note: Smallfry will contact you to invite you to attend an audition / interview if your application is of interest to us. Further details will be made available at that time.

Interviews/Auditions:
Children 5 years and under will be interviewed so we can meet you and your child (for 2 to 5 year olds a little chat to camera is required). At the interview we give you an insight into the industry, our requirements and fees. It also gives you a chance to address any concerns or questions. If we believe your child is suitable, they may be offered a place with our agency.

(Please Note we do not offer positions to everyone that audition)

We will be holding our auditions throughout the year for children / teens aged 6 – 15 yrs. Auditionees are divided into age groups and will be required to participate in a number of activities which may include; drama games, presenting a monologue or script reading. (subject to change)

Prior to auditions, we will give you an outline of what is required from you on the day and we’ll provide you with any relevant monologues to prepare.
